Aries Swap ~ 28 April 2024

The planets that bracket the Earth, Venus and Mars, conduct an Aries switcheroo this week. In but hours Venus departs Aries, and glides into a sign she rules: Taurus. This sets the stage for Mars, still dizzy from conjoining Neptune in Pisces, to enter Aries on Tuesday, a sign he rules. So the planets closest to Earth enjoy a stint in their natural sign sake habitat for the next few weeks. With the classical planets all direct, is this a chance to engage all daylight fully with vim vigor and vibrational resonance? If one is thinking of the right time for energetic application of all things that appear to align with the truth of what one seeks to extract from life, truly, this is that time.

What will Mars in Aries bring? While one may conjure images of war and strife, remember that Aries bears the traditional association with the head. As such, the derived implication symbolically suggest the wars in ones head space. You know, the conflict between what one must do, what one wants to do, and any disparity between those tracks. The battle of belief in the self versus the insidious imposter syndrome. This could be quite the list... the point is, the essence of the trends are to find comfort in the self, embrace self value and engage life as if it is the only thing one must do. In fact, virtually straightaway (2 May), Mars in Aries sextiles Pluto in Aquarius. Since these two planets co-rule Scorpio, their kinship stands out as profoundly productive. This simpatico emphasizes the need to do the deeds that must be done for the soul and ego to flourish in an eternal truce based on the understanding that their end games align in principle.

Pluto always endorses the path of passion (no matter what). This is Aries time for Mars. Think of yourself and what you need... what you really, really, really need. Plot with Pluto to make a plan, engage Mars, and non impulsively and with perfect instinctive pitch, go get it as if there’s no tomorrow.

Over the next weeks Mars, from his reign over the initiatory energies of Aries, engages several other planetary gizmos in ways that promote self assertion, self declaration and self fulfillment. On the heels of Jupiter to Uranus in Taurus and previewing Jupiter in Gemini forming fabulous alignment with a plethora of things galactic, how cool is this? That’s not rhetorical. The answer is: “Stop asking me questions. I’m busy. And yes, this is most cool.”

On 19 May, Mars crosses the north lunar node. This is a destiny check. Are you doing with your life what your purpose for selecting this incarnation directs you to do? If not, reset, calibrate the consciousness compass, redefine your direction, and pursue the meaning of life with glee and youthful optimism. Get maximizing. Venus hopscothes into Gemini in four days. There’s still time to groove on the personal planets in their own sign thing.

The Aries self referential theme intensifies in the form of pure self-advocacy as Mars squares Ceres in Capricorn come 27 May. This is where one must declare the meritoriousness of ones efforts in life and ascribe a full cornucopia of benefit from all those tasks engaged on ones daily path in life. Given that the next day, 28 May, Mars conjoins Chiron in Aries, the affirmation from above is to ensure that ultimately all acts done that include others come back to offer primary benefit to all your personal causes. If it’s not good for what ails you, why engage? You know how investing yourself in situations that do not further your purposes ends up. Commit to the well-being of the spirit existing within your body with all events, tasks and persons with whom you choose to engage.

Wait! Is this about being selfish? No, it’s about putting your own oxygen mask on first when flying at high altitudes and experiencing a cabin depressurization. Symbolically, really, literally and figuratively, what benefit do you offer others if unconscious?

As Mars wanes in Aries, on 2 June, he engages Eris via conjunction. Now traditionally, this may imply major mischief and mayhem. In fact, Ares (Aries) was one of Eris’ besties It’s all quite simple actually. Eris lusts for inclusion. When not included, she conjures and potentially reverts to courses of action that do not serve the best of purposes. Certainly any disruption she may choose to engage further exacerbates the exclusion. Who wants to hang out with someone prone to create chaos? When she and Ares showed up unexpectedly and uninvited, someone at the event in progress no doubt put their fingers on the numbers on a phone to summon security with the expectation that things soon and predictably would devolve. Instead, invite Eris to the party of your life. Savor challenges for participation in life by presenting inclusive, solution-oriented outcomes. When successes occur, festively celebrate those. Sanction life’s accomplishments created by you, and therein recognize the fine fit you’ve manifested for yourself.

As June rolls about assess where you are versus where you need to be. If not in the desired position, make the matter one of establishing a clear sense of inner value and brightly displaying that at all times. If ones sense of worth combines with a clear perception of purpose and a desire for optimal soulful expression, how full are the sails of the soul? The inner searching becomes worth it when one feels the exuberant energy of excellence.

And back to now. The month of May commences with Pluto working with Mars to inventory the toolbelt of life such that when Mars and Eris lead the way into June, one shows up with the right tool for the right job at the right time. Observe how others step aside and permit the skilled handy person to do their work and fix the malfunctions of daily life. That’s some cool inclusion.

Enjoy the organic groove that Venus and Mars are in... and oh by the way, Mercury has been in direct motion for a few days now.

More soon.
